To comply with the (UKOOA) industry guidelines for emergency response and rescue vessels, each Vroon vessel has a nominal 12 man crew who work on a 28 days on/off rotational basis. All crew are highly trained and qualified in excess of the international marine training, certification and watch keeping standards of STCW '95.
Every member of the crew is medically trained to be able to respond to a mass platform evacuation/escape scenario.

|
The Master and Mate of each vessel are trained in command and control techniques for managing major emergencies and all rescue craft crews are specially trained for such a role.
These qualifications and the associated ongoing training requirements are monitored and approved by the Offshore Petroleum Industry Training Organisation (OPITO).
| In addition company-specific ongoing training concentrates on safety awareness particularly hazard identification, risk awareness and assessment, near-miss reporting and permits to work. |
